Red Glass Clam Shell Bowl by Archimede Seguso, Murano, Italy, 1950s

This Murano glass decorative bowl in the red colourway features a beautiful shell shaped body that resembles its real-life counterpart. The body has been masterfully worked and flows effortlessly and proportionately to the wide set opening.

The bowl was masterfully designed by Archimede Seguso for Compagnia Di Venezia E Murano (C.V.M.).

It is a highly sought after design that displays beautifully with two beautifully ground and polished pontils that allow the bowl to sit upright or on its side. Each position catches the light uniquely, providing a different perspective.
