The MoMA Satellite Bowl in black, designed by Carlo Contin in 1999, is a striking sculptural object made of 12 identically shaped, lacquered wooden spokes arranged into a minimalist geometric form.
The remarkable minimalist design object makes for a dramatic center-piece. It is a tribute to the Sciangai Clothes Rack by De Pas, D'Urbino, Lomazzi which also uses the principle of apart-falling self-stabilizing rods.
