Contemporary Art Prints and handcrafted side table with Head Sculpture

Local Secondhand Retail Store is a Fusion of Gallery and Living Museum and is a Sensory Experience Must!

Take the Immersive Journey with Us

Our studio is a fusion of gallery and living museum where you can immerse yourself and get lost amongst a bricolage of curated, legacy-grade treasures.

Generally, when people think secondhand the first thing they associate it to is an opportunity shop with the unpleasant odour that permeates the space.

Far from that scenario, our Studio is delightful and provides you with a curated sensory experience where you can shop comfortably for premium preloved fashion and home goods.

We credit our clients for taking pride and care in the preowned pieces they entrust us with.  Many of the pieces carry sentimental value and have been barely used or worn. They often come from a clean, well-kept environment, and with only the occasional imperfections that usually result from storage and handling. We like to call this time-honoured charm character. Now that's priceless!

Very soon you’ll be able to enjoy the full sensory experience of our studio and revel in its alchemy.

Here is what we'd like you take from your in-store experience at Renascence Studio:

Appreciate Circularity

Renascence Studio is more than a premium secondhand store, we are an eco-ethical studio on a mission to normalise circular retail and Fashion Change; bring about transformative change toward a closed loop economy.

We live in an extremely visual culture so a major goal of Renascence Studio is to be the brand that curates alluring preloved goods. In doing so we hope to create a greater appreciation for what we already have in circulation through preloved as a starting point in your journey to change.

Feel Nostalgia & Get Curious

The colourful anthology of garments and objects bring the studio to life, spreading their bright energy and creating feelings of nostalgia, curiosity, and possibility. Make time to come and feel what we mean.

Contemplate Change

"Curiosity is the essence of knowledge and it's about the drive to learn something NEW. Curiosity leads to greater understanding, more empathy and a deeper connection to one's self, others and the world around us."

In essence, as well as its aesthetic appeal, our studio's purpose is to inspire shoppers to contemplate the quality, intrinsic value, and potential of second-hand goods. We hope that it sparks more than curiosity to provoke admiration and appreciation for the lived cost of bringing to these items into existence.

Reconnect as Nature Intended

Through your contemplative experience we hope that you will consciously reconsider your own consumption habits. Contemplation and inquiry around the benefits of closed loop retail can lead to a more considered consumer experience and by extension it strengthens a person’s innate connection to nature.

Inspire Through a Change Narrative

In addition to the studio experience, we create a social narrative around contemporary issues that weigh in on the crisis we find ourselves in. Our aim is to inspire critical thinking and empathy at the most pivotal point in history.

“Raising awareness is the first step, but creating actual change is the goal,”

Empower All

Empowerment is the essence of Renascence Studio. By raising awareness to critical issues, we hope to encourage dialogue and empower our audience to make the connection and become active agents in the circular movement.  Giving people agency inspires them to continue the narrative through their own networks to amplify change for a better future.

"True power is the power to empower others." Rhymefest

“I don’t tend to think that any one person can change anyone’s beliefs, much less behaviour…I think attitudes can be cumulatively nudged towards justice if people are presented with multiple renditions of thinking not like their own.”
